Statement of intent

I intend to produce a range of poetry prints. This will be followed by many cash cows. Mainly in food.

My main aim with the poetry prints is the USA but I will post Royal Mail to most of the world.

I have a local printer who will print with ink and not toner, giving better quality.

The prints will have the date of printing on the back.

I am on YouTube as Angel Eyes singing Adam & Eve. My vision statement and anthem.

The plan is to start trading on 27 September 2021.

The Poetry comes with a long history of mental health problems.

One A4 mounted print will be £27.

I am a nutter who wants to save the world. I am the sole owner of Utopia By PJR Ltd.

I write from the heart.

It took me ages to get my paper. Under bright light it is brilliant white but in the shade a pale cream

I could well become collectable going up in value rather than down.

Here are some of the businesses I want to start up.

Abrahams Reusable Tins.

You can stamp tins out of a sheet of stainless steel.

The tins will have a groove going all the way round. The groove can be filled with bees wax. A lid fitting into the groove, can be stamped out as well.

There will be a big range of delicious food suitable for canning.

They can go on a plate in the oven at 150c or gas mark 3. For ½ an hour.

They will be delivered to the door.

Delivery will be between 19.00pm and 7.oo AM

There will be a deposit on the tins. The tins remain the property of Abrahams Reusable Tins. They must be returned as their not the customers property but the property of Abrahams Reusable Tins. A condition of sale is that the tins are returned reasonably clean.

Frozen Appetising Baps.

A lard selection of frozen baps can be made. There will be a big range of standard fillings.

The minimum order will be £15.00.

They will be delivered to the door.

The baps will be wrapped in cling film you can undo and eat without touching the Bap.

Customers will be able to eat safely with unwashed hands if need be.

Smithfield Superior Sausages.

A range of frozen cooked sausages inspired by Smithfield can be produced.

They will be top quality and delicious.

In the range I want a Manhattan Monster. Twice the length of most sausages. Seasoned with Italian herbs Garlic and English mustard.

They will be supplied to cash and caries. There will be an app with anybody who stokes or sells my sausages.

Corner shops, cafes. Fish and Chip shops, B & Bs and hotels.

Gremlins Café.

A mobile café supplying a large range of food.

I would like them to hot smoke a lot of food.

Beef Burgers will use rump stake and cost £10.

You can have them rear, medium or well done.

We will use single decker buses.

I want there to be a web site with all sorts of things that a gremlin can be make from.

Under 16ns can make their own gremlin and write about it on 2 sides of A4.

They can be enter them into a competition. All sorts of gremlins with their blog can go on a web site.

The popular ones will have 1,000 made and put on sale.

The designer will get 20 percent of the sale price.

A smart battery can be produced with three cells. When a cell is totally discharged it can be recharged to full capacity.

Phones, laptops and tablets can use these batteries. There can be a large range to suite a lot of products.

I would also like a mail scent that is complementary to musk.

A gas boiler that generates electricity. A turbine will generate electricity. With the very hot exhaust heating water for heating and hot running water.

I want payment to be very flexible. Credit can be given and charged for. The customer will have a large range of payment methods that should suit nearly everyone.

I want to compete on quality, reliability and serves rather than just price.

I will want my staff to work a 5 hour day. 7 days a week. They will get 2 days off before the full moon. The full moon and 1 day after. Staff will be able to take annual leave with this. They can have a holiday and a complete brake at this time.

Those working these days will get double pay.

I want the directors to be my general staff. There will be a morning shift and an afternoon shift.

The Mentor will appoint the Managing Director and 2 deputies one to run the morning shift and one to run the afternoon shift.

The idea is to have 12 directors in each shift.

There will be a 1 hour handover meeting.

I want targets set reasonably low but they must be achieved. We expect people to exceed targets by as much as they can.

Utopia By PJR Ltd.

The essence of universal utopia and ethical capitalism are this.

Love, forgiveness and respect reciprocated.
So keep it simple silly.

We are a loving, determined and hard bunch.

We aim at between 50% and 80% up the market. With units of no more than two hundred people. We will go, for niche market cash cows if you can. A husband and wife team can run a very good small business. They will have a mentor. Who will franchise out well tested small businesses. 10% of profits go to a good cause. 20% of profits go to staff for constructive impute. Business units of no more than 200 staff. A mentor could be mentor to over 100 businesses.

The people that run the business own 45% and get 25% of the profits. Their share of the business will vary depending on how hard and well they work for it. We provide the idea, the start-up cash and mentoring. We own 45% of the business and get 35% of the profits.

The mentor is a director with a 10% share. They decide what remuneration people get and higher and fire them. The bible is the Essential Peter Drucker. Management accounts are inclusive. Everybody knows about them and all should contribute. The same with quality control. No quality circles, everybody is involved. Brainstorm both, have a good laugh and some fun, take the micky out of each other humorously. No horseplay or empire building.

A small meritocracy.

Learn how to enjoy yourself and have a good sense of humour. People get rewarded for doing well. Three year rolling contracts give stability and flexibility. They should be revised each year. You should have no favourites. Everybody is dispensable, unique and valued as significant contributors to the business. If they are not get rid of them.

I do not want to practice nepotism and do not want nepotism practiced by any of my businesses.

With your enemies let God and Satan look after them and have delightful dreams of what Satan will do to them when they go to hell. Christ was good to the poor and sinners he did not like arrogant Pharisees. With my hopeless and agonising struggle for utopia. I have built up a rich reward and a whale of a time in heaven. We believe in a very good love life, arranged marriages and mirage counselling.

I want to be like King Solomon and not Christ. Christ is the Sacred Heart bound by thorns. I want to start up, “Utopia By PJR Ltd”. It will trade anything and everything.

We will bench test, analyse and evaluate everything we sell. We go for between 45% and 100% up the market. From Faire Trade coffee to high tec. We like small business and not large business. We want to trade with people with similar principles to ourselves. We will know a great deal and manufacture ourselves. We will assist farmers that look after the land and help them make the most of their land.

We believe in GM and radiation (self) preservation.
Good Mentoring.

I will not have a vote on the board but I can attend and fire the lot if I want.

I want the board to have and appoint up to 1,000 experts. They will get 5 percent of profits. Their share of 5 percent of profits will be decided by the mentor. All mentors can call on the experts for advice and guidance.

Shareholders should get 15 percent of profits paid as dividend. All share holds will have a blog on my web site and say their bit. It will have public viewing on the internet. They will have to mark other shear holder’s blogs. 6, 4 and 2 in favour and 6, 4 and 2 against,

The top 20 percent of shear holders will get 40 percent of this 15%. From 80 to 60 they get 30 %. From 60 to 40 they get 20 %. From 40 to 10 they get 10%. Below 10 percent they get no dividend.

There will be 5,000 shares available at £1,000 per share. The first 100 shears sold will always get a pay out at 40% of dividend. They will always be in the top 20%.

The rest will get dividend depending on their ranking buy other share holders.

20 percent of “Utopia By PJR” profits should go to good causes of my choosing. I may well be a large donor to political parties, investing in marginal constituencies. I also want to donate to the SVP and Aid to the Church in Need. I will not just want to donate to them but to work in unison with them. I would like their cooperation in creating wealth and doing good.

I want “Utopia By PJR” run as a matriarchy.

I will appoint female directors if I can. No glass ceiling and power to the girls.

Introduction

There is a colossal amount to say about management. It goes back a very long way. In that time it has changed and developed considerably. Going forwards, backwards and at times descended into anarchy. Some ancient societies had very sophisticated forms of management and they lasted a long time.

Most people think descending into anarchy is a bad idea but it is something that has happened time and time again.

Management is the concept that organises the way to a brighter future.

Management and life can be and often are a constant struggle to make progress in a sea of woes.

The future is coming and it is anarchic it knows no rule or law and progresses in a highly unpredictable manner and it keeps on coming at you. It has gifts and traps both joys and woes. Death is inevitable it can be obtained with ease at times or it can be very hard and difficult. It is the manner of getting there that counts.

The lessens of management are for the individual just as much as they are for an organisation.

In times of growth and prosperity making progress is a lot easier. In times of depression and war everything is a lot harder.

The one thing we learn from history is that we do not learn from history.

We have difficulty predicting the future. We can live today to make our own world and that of others a better place.

You can fool most of the people most of the time but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.

To be the best at something takes a lot of commitment and is very difficult to sustain. There will always be new and younger blood that will outdo you. Some of the old dogs have a nasty bite while others can be very welcoming. They do say if you are nice to people on the way up people will be nice to you on the way down.

The vast majority of the best people are dead but we can all learn a lot form their successes and experiences.

You can see the traps of obsession and the glory of success often followed by the agony of a fall. You can also see the way people have dealt with this and the many successes and failures on the way. Adrenalin is addictive as are many other things. Addictions and obsessions are dangerous they create bad decisions makers because they lack perspective. They tend to concentrate on one thing to the detriment of others. This is a frequent downfall.

You can say I will do better and not repeat the mistakes of the past. Then learn about yourself and others to improve.

Money, power and knowledge are a very powerful combination but they can lead to addiction and corruption. Dealing with them and surviving them can be a difficult trick the answer to this is often found in wisdom and humility.

Humility, Wisdom and Patience

Humility is seeing your self, your reflection. Becoming aware of the truth about you self. With your strengths and weaknesses, faults and failings your talents and skills the good and the bad and the indifferent. To be yourself and live your life, not just for yourself but for others as well.

Humility is a balance, love yourself and love others while being honest and forgiving and accepting your and others potential with honesty and integrity.

Your nature has attributes. We all have abilities to discover and they may be applied successfully. No person is an island we are all in the sea of time and humanity. The spiritual can fill the heart within and help form a deeper, far more stable and for filled person.

To seek development of your spiritual nature is wise and sensible. Both spirituality and physically you can either seek the dark or the light. We are generally a form of grey within.

The opposing forces of dark and light exist. You may not be able to measure them physically but they are there. There is power in pain, agony, fear and hatred they can be formidable forces. The power of love and forgiveness is deeper and far more sustainable.

We are all going to die you may as well die for something good rather than something bad. If you love you will attract those who love. If you hate you will attract those who hate. The decision is yours. I am grey within but seek the light “is sensible”. Have the humility to be wrong and learn. Forgive, learn and love. With your self and others.

We all play our part in the sea of life. Peace and prosperity are not infallible but hatred and evil are a lot worse. The choice is up to the individual. The most difficult person to live with is frequently yourself and next comes those close to you.

Wisdom is seeing and prioritising the truth. With patience you learn how to bide your time and know how and when to act. Wisdom and patience are developed by seeking the truth and by being honest with yourself and others. It is sensible not to be brutal with yourself or others.

The Race

You need to prepare for a race and be in peak condition for the most important one.

You do not keep peak fitness up the whole time it will destroy you. You need to rest and have a replacement ready when you are not there. Nobody should be indispensable the graveyards are full of indispensable people.

Stress motivates but too much for to long destroys as does to little. Burnout and boredom lead to problems as does poor diet and lack of exercise. Life needs to be interesting and enjoyable for the best results.

Life can be very competitive “whether you like it or not” you have got to be able to compete and win if necessary. You need a plan that can cope with the unpredictable and inevitable. It is easy to overlook the obvious.

To spread your recourses to thinly means you are unlikely to achieve all that much.

To concentrate recourses on the most important things is sensible. The next thing is to achieve those aims and complete the circle. When something is started it opens a circle and when completed it is closed. Try not to have to many open circles it causes confusion and lack of focus. If you start something you must focus on completing it and get it done. Concentrating on your core aims is important avoid getting side tracked.

Try not to reinforce failure and try not to overextend yourself. Too much success can lead to failure. Everything to cope with at once and running out of cash and time can be crippling. Too much growth to soon can be a real problem that is why you should have access to reserves and contingency plans.

It is very important to be able to prove what is making a profit and what is making a loss. If you do not know these it is difficult to increase profit or reduce loss. A rolling assessment of what is done and how much it costs can be very instructive. This helps to minimise loss and improves profitability. It produces the information required to concentrate recourses on the most successful and profitable parts of a business. This will help with the development of a more profitable business.

We are all ether making a profit or a loss and at times you can have very serious problems with cash flow. It is essential to make sure that cash is coming in faster than it is going out. When things are going badly and also when they are going very well or to quickly. When things are very busy and booming cash flow can cause havoc. The need is for steady and sustainable growth. Aiming to high or low causes real problems you need stability and realism with sustainable stress levels. It can be very expensive to cope with success.

A growing family and or business can absorb a lot of cash and time. If you run out of them it can cause big problems and havoc

Record Keeping

Record keeping is important. Memory can play strange tricks at times and as they say it is always fun to have a sensational read on your hands.

With record keeping you can keep records of income and expenditure, simple accounts. You can also keep a personal diary. This can include a variety of information from what you eat, drink and do with your feelings and emotions as well. You can mark yourself out of ten regarding well being and happiness or any aspect you consider sensible or fun.

You can go back through your diary to relive the joys and pitfalls of life. Pictures and keepsakes can help bring back the memories. You can also use these as a record of what you and others have done with the effects it has on you and others. This can be used as a record not just of memory but you can learn from your diary and change.

Some scientists call this cognitive behavioural therapy. The WRAP Plan can be very useful as well in forming a progressive plan to well being. It was developed for mental health patient and has proved itself to be a very useful aid to growth and development. The Wrap Plan does not just apply to mental health patents it can work very well with most people and organisations may well find it beneficial.

There are all sorts of aids to improvement some good some bad some indifferent.

Be aware that some can be a trap that leads you to a dark path. The WRAP Plan is well proven and used by a lot of people.

Control, Influence and Empowerment

There are things you have control over, others you can influence then comes the things you have no power over.

Taking responsibility for your self is very important. We all make mistakes and get things wrong. Taking responsibility for this will give power to the individual. In essence excepting that it is your problem and doing something about it is empowerment. Trying to find a solution and or seeking the help required is sensible “rocks have problems too”. Accepting you have a problem and that the ball is in your court for you to deal with is often the first step in coping with it.

A lot of people are faced with problems that keep on repeating, bad habits and addictions count for a lot. Habits and addictions can be broken it helps a lot if they are replaced with something. You do not just stop doing something it is best to replace it with something that is beneficial and constructive, this can help a lot.

This can mean a life change. A fundamental rethink of your life can help. The aim of change and replacing something bad with something good is sustainable. Placing yourself in a position in which you are unlikely to get back into the bad habits or addictions is wise.

Just deciding to stop with pure willpower can be a big mistake. Curing an addiction or bad habit can produce other behaviour that can make even more problems. It can lead to forming other bad habits and addictions.

If you smoke and drink and give up smoking as I did you have more cash. More cash for more alcohol and you can end up with a bigger drink problem. Replacing it with a good habit rather than drinking more alcohol would be a better idea.

As I drank more when I stopped smoking I put on a lot of weight and got drunk more which is not a good idea. Writing this is part of the recovery I am planning. Concentrating on positive activity that helps me and may well help others.

The most important management is self management and self control goes with it to learning there techniques and skills is paramount. The most fundamental problem can be to accept that there is a problem and that you are going to deal with it in a constructive and beneficial manner.

Life is full of pleasures that can be addictive and harmful from golf and chocolate to hard drugs.

They say moderation in all things and a little bit of what you fancy does you good.

Rewarding yourself is a sensible idea and when you are unhappy treating yourself is also sensible. It can lead to problems of affordability. Finding simple rewards and pleasures is a life giver.

If you keep to the same type of reword such as alcohol or food you can become habituated to them. You need to watch out for this and be careful. Changing the reward and going for something different regularly can help. Giving something up for a while can be sensible especially if you are a drinker. This clears out the system and gives your body time to recover a detox every now and then is a sensible idea.

People are putting products on the market that are enjoyable and addictive needing a sugar buzz or caffeine high can be self-destructive.

There are plenty of pleasures in life and discovering new ones is a pleasure in itself. It is important to enjoy yourself both at work and play and discovering simple pleasure that are good for you can go a long way.

Being very competitive and always having to win can turn your life into a constant battleground. The one-upmanship and having to beat the Joneses can ruin a life. If you can win or lose with the same enjoyment and pleasure you have achieved something. Beating someone who is not as good as you is an empty victory. Beating someone better than you is more fun. You learn form playing better players. It can be very disappointing if you play badly and rewarding if you play well.

It can be the taking part with enthusiasm and enjoyment that is most important and not winning. It helps to make a fool out of your self every now and then.

Looking at the things you have control over and learning how to change them to the good is important. To make your self, adaptable and confident in all sorts of different situations can be very rewarding. Not just for you but for those around you as well.

Levers and Combinations

They say that everybody has a price some things cost very little but are priceless to people and ever body has a weakness of some kind. With a big enough lever they say you can move the world. Finding a lever to move someone or something can be very useful. Elephants are frightened of mice. You may not need a big lever. If you have the combination to the volt it is much easier to open.

Discovering the lever or key and using it sensibly can make life much easier. You will find that you can move some very big things with ease. It requires skill and knowledge to find the key to the vault but it is much better than blowing it up. Thought and research can lead to a much better and sweeter solution.

The next part in this book is the influence you have over others.

This book is using influence.

To be right at the wrong time can be totally devastating. It is often better to make mistakes and get things wrong on purpose rather than be right at the wrong time.

Challenging deeply held preconceptions can be very dangerous.

People fear and often hate a truth they disagree with or one they have not come up with themselves. They want their preconception and opinions reinforced. They do not want to change them.

Being wrong at the right time can be very popular and rewarding.

Reinforcing old preconceptions it is what people want.

There are a lot of powers that do not want change and they do not want people to be empowered.

Thinking sheep are very dangerous especially when they think they can fly.

The desire of many is an obedient and submissive populous who do not think much and reinforce the status quo.

The rebellion of youth is fed it is just part of life. The young are soon ground down by the status quo.

To empower people so that they can think and act in an empowered manner is not popular with some people in control they want obedience.

The Atomic Bomb

The pen is mightier then the sword

The power of influence is in persuasion and presentation. Heated arguments seldom solve anything people just go away with their preconceptions reinforced.

It is much better to turn an enemy into a friend rather than turn a friend into an enemy.

Most discussion and argument is won by using the best techniques and not by the rights and wrongs of the case.

The approach to selling a beef burger is one thing. The approach to raising research funds is another

In both situations you sell what the recipient wants with a presentation that they like and respect. To make them happy with the decision you are asking them to take.

You need to tailor your approach to the person you are dealing with and ask for things they are willing to give at a cost they think attractive. Remember to look for levers that will move them in the right direction

Take time and make sure you are dealing with the right person in the right manner.

Good intelligence and research goes a long way. Being able to think on your feet is important.

The Inevitable

Dealing with things you have no control over is the brick wall across a motorway

The actions you take now or have in the past can cause you to hit a brick wall.

The brick wall of death is something we are all heading towards but it will happen in its own time so do not worry. It is the manner of getting there that counts.

With something you have control or influence over you can fight and use your strengths and weaknesses with skill and verve. Weaknesses can be used very well and with some adjustment turned and used as strengths. If you have no control or influence you can give in, flee, dodge the bullets, you may use disguise or dig a whole in the ground.

Fighting can be suicide and retreat a masterly strategy.

Know when to release and let go. Do not be too possessive. You keep an ace in the hole, know when and how to play it, play it wisely and well.

The lack of control can be frightening try not to become a dictator. At the end of the day we all get caught, your history your path through life is your ace in the hole or your condemnation.

The plea for mitigating circumstances is yours to make.

I was born wealthy I was well bought up. But the whole experience ruined me I would have been better of if I had been disadvantaged and poor.

It is not what you have got it is how you deal with it that counts.

Slaves have become Emperors and Kentucky Fried Chicken was the creation of a man in retirement.

You work you die you live your life. No body can take away what you have given or the good that you have done. The taxman takes you to the cleaners and the worms descend.

Lets all become upright and industrious taxmen.

At times being first is all, important. Lemmings have leaders too.

Cause, Effect and Quality

Science is useful but it is frequently blind to faith and spirituality.

It is accepted scientifically that people with a healthy spiritual life are better off than those with none.

It is in science that we come across cause and effect. In the old days if you asked “why” they would say because God wills it

Scientist do not generally ask “why” they merely have cause and effect. This is very useful though instead of blaming everything on God as some do. They look for the physical proof of things. They try to understand in a provable and logical manner. They have to be able to measure the nature and effect of things in a logical and provable manner.

Effect and affect are very similar words and can be confusing. Effect is, when something is done it produces results. If you do this, that happens. The effect it has. Affect is generally regarded as an infection or disabling something, impairing it in some form or manner.

In life and business we do things and things happen. One aspect of quality is the physical action or product the provable nature of something. The other part of quality is the effect it has.

Rivets
Due to one faulty rivet a weakness appears in a ship because of that weakness a ship was lost. Because a ship was lost a battle is lost and because a battle is lost the war is lost.

This is in essence quality control one small mistake can cause havoc. The flap of a butterfly wing may escalate producing a storm or hurricane. This is why quality control is so important. You will never gain perfection but this should be the ultimate aim. You study the application of recourse to improve quality to get the physical nature of something as near prefect as possible

The idea is to get thing right first time. An aeroplane with a design fault can be very costly and dangerous. You design it, build it, test it, produce it and sell it. Then one day it falls out of the sky and an accident enquiry finds a design fault that cannot be cured. Oh dear how sad the investors will mind.

Cause and effect!

Aims and Goals

When selecting or deciding on an aim the following should be born in mind.

They say that an artist can hold two mutually opposing opinions and be quite happy with both.

The aims you choose should be compatible they should get on with one another and thrive together.

Having incompatible aims is dangerous, something must go, artist or not.

Why you want something and what you are expecting out of it are important issues. If you are addicted or obsessed with something it becomes all import and is frequently self-destructive.

Goals are the achievable steps planed in order to obtain or get closer to an aim. To small is bad, to dig is bad. Aims and goals should be chosen carefully. There is an art in setting them. After achieving an important goal or aim there is good argument for a rest and a brake to recharge and reinvigorate. When goals or aims are achieved the project may be handed over to another team.

A celebration a time to relax and have some fun may be in order. The alternative to this is to change the team, resting some people and bringing in new people with different skills and knowledge, in order to move the project on to the next stage. People with differing expertise and skills can be moved in and out of a team as the project progresses. A visiting expert can be a godsend.

At times achieving the goal or aim can set you on a never-ending treadmill. Falling of the treadmill or making a mistake can cost you very dearly. The contract you have wanted so much and will do anything for can totally destroy you.

Have a Vision

Piranhas are a hungry and sociable little bunch there are bigger and meaner about. Nile Perch are loan marauders that eat smaller Nile Perch and pretty well everything else. They are a good game fish but have totally destroyed many a beautiful and divers environment.

Fools rush in where wise men fear to go. Do not send a fool on a wise mans mission. He who hesitates is lost. A stitch in time saves nine. Folly is the stone of wisdom carved slow by seeking the kingdom. With good research and good planning the race is there to win so stay prepared and be ready to move at short notice. A pillion on a dispatch bike is the only way to travel at times.

Power is an illusion it is there to use wisely and with care. If you use it sparingly it is more likely to stay with you if it is overused it becomes dictatorship.

The idea is to empower people and to bring their strengths together as a team in order to for fill achievable goals and aims.

A vision statement is meant to select aims for people to accept and live in a stable but dynamic manner. This is where we are going and we use these principles to get there.

Vision statements can be changed. Repositioning or refocusing a business can be essential but it is a difficult trick to pull of. Study those who have achieved this and learn.

The important thing is that people have to buy into the aims. You drive slaves with a whip and tell them what to do. If people buy into your aims and motivations they are more likely to form a cohesive team and achieve the aims in a productive and sustainable manner.

To use stick and carrot is as old as the hills. They must be balanced and fair, sticks and carrots are best tailored to the individual. Remember levers and keys.

Giving someone an important title can lift their self esteem and help them to take responsibility for their actions and inactions but to many Chiefs and not enough Indians is a frequent problem.

One investment business went around looking for business that where underachieving. The most common fault was top management. Their bigotry and arrogances had failed the business. The investment firm fired the top management and put the middle management in charge and kept a watching brief over them. It worked wonders and turned around many a flagging business.

If somebody wants to be an Indian and not a Chief it should not be regarded as a disadvantage. They want to go to work and get paid and only want to give so much.

In a lot of situations this is a very sensible and down the earth attitude.

It is very important to have people working with you who are sensible and down to earth. In many cases they have been there, seen this, done that and got the tee-shirt. They have sorted out their prioritise in a sensible and wise manner. This sort of Indian is the bedrock of a business. Motivated and treated well they are a stabilising force and keep things running smoothly.

Do not be all that worried about commitment levels they are wise enough and sensible enough to have sorted their own aims out for themselves this is a virtue that should not be under estimated.

The enthusiasm and brashness of young is best tempered with a down to earth attitude. If people are good teachers they can be invaluable in the development of other people, they can help a lot.

Indians can be very good at this they frequently have children and some have grandchildren of their own.

Promote people only when they are ready and prepared a big jump into the unknown can be very frightening it can make or brake people. It is best that they are well prepared for it and that you support them. As they find their feet and grow in competence and confidence they can be left on their own to sort things out themselves. This is why rapid expansion is a problem. You do no have the experienced and trained staff to do the jobs required. In an old established business you can have a lot of well-established staff that are underachieving. This causes boredom and depression.

If the job is interesting and motivating people will be enthusiastic and motivated. If the job is boring and repetitive it can destroy people but it may suit an Indian very well, you have got to look after your Indians.

As people change and grow their wants and needs change and grow as a business you may for fill some of peoples wants and needs. Others find their wants and needs for filled outside the work place.

As a business grows and develops its wants and needs will grow and develop.

Ambition and motivation can be stifled or encouraged if you teach people to trample over anything and everything in their way they will. The way you run your business is reflected in your staff and how they act.

The customer is not important. The customer is God. Is God forgiving and loving. Is life about give and take and love or is it about grinding the last ounce of perspiration and profit out of people.

The manner and methods you use in order to obtain the aims you wish are fundamental. It is well worth putting a lot of thought into this.

Ethical businesses attract ethical people. If you are willing to do anything for power and money you will attract people who are willing to do anything for power and money. As with people businesses are a shade of grey and within a business there are the lighter and darker elements.

It has been said that if you can make people happy profitable you should run a successful business. This should not just go for the customer but for employees as well.

Business and where to put it

There are three main types of product, services or business. One is unsuccessful and loss making. The Channel Tunnel is a prime example of this. It has the added advantage of massive capital investment and will only last 25 years. I think that is the designed lifetime of the tunnel. A truly bountiful piece of Anglo French co-operation.

The next is a shooting star it goes up very quickly is very successful for a short time and them crashes into the ground never to be seen again. They can be very profitable very quickly but do not invest in a star that is about to fall and hit the ground.

The other type of business will last a long time and make a steady profit. The profit margins vary some can be very good. They can generate steady cash that is reliable they are a blessing to any business. They do and will need investment they should not be starved of it. They should be kept well, healthy and profitable.

There are all sorts of variations within these three but they are the basic types.

Now there was a lot of cause and effect that God may not have all that much responsibility for. The gifts of free will and self-determination should be used wisely.

The next part is knowledge and experiment. If you do not know the answer experiment may be a sensible way forward.

Knowledge is the known and there is an awful lot of known out there it is worth looking for.

The art of knowledge is to apply it in such a manner as to make the most of it. There are a lot of very old truths that are ignored today for the sake of profit and progress, yes they have their faults and failings too.

One idea is to find out how the best people are doing something and to integrate their ideas and techniques into your business. It is called bench marking. A lot of the time somebody will be doing something better than you. It is sensible to look for them and lean from them.

There can be some very cheap and easy solutions to something you find very difficult almost impenetrable and very expensive. Knowing the answer can be very rewording you learn from better players.

People are constantly learning and experimenting learn from them and be willing to experiment yourself. Regard life as a constant, divers and dynamic experiment. Many of the old fundamentals can be applied in new and dynamic ways.

There are businesses that go back to the Stone Age. There are very valuable techniques and skills that were kept secret and are long dead. Pyramids do preserve things very well. There are Roman glass techniques that cannot be reproduced today with the skill and accuracy of the Romans.

Research project can take one hundred years and you can still not crake the nut. In performing the research there can be spin-offs and dead ends. With experiment you lean, learning how not to do something can be very valuable. You test a theory by coming up with experiments that are designed to test it and expand knowledge.

The neutron bombe is an atomic bombe that produces a massive amount of neutrinos. They leave the physical structure of a city largely in tact but kill all life forms within it. Somebody had a theory and it was tested with experiment the theory was wrong but a great deal was learnt for the experiment. The baby could well have been the neutron bomb. The paper has not been published for all of us to share. One of the fundamental principles of science is sharing information and knowledge and teaching it for the grater betterment of humanity.

This is something that Capitalism and power freaks have a very big problem with.

America is losing the economic war “the peace time war” and Europe is doing the same thing. The United States of Europe is developing. With the French and the Germans in charge. I think the British think The USE will collapse in an overwhelming heap of petty rules and regulations driven by a bureaucracy that is self perpetuating and self indulgent. They are trying to standardise everything. This is a very dig mistake.

The Japanese can produce better cars and televisions and have more jobs than people.

The Chinese have grasped Capitalism and have a massive and generally passive work force that will work for very little.

The strengths the weaknesses and harmful self-indulgences, we all have them nobody is perfect.

Big wing verses little wing. Big business verses little. The class war the cast system.

There is a lot to think about

I once read a book called teaching an elephant to dance. Yes I do read. Ballerinas dance and not elephants. Ballerinas are small agile and can dance old classics as well as the modern and progressive.

If you are an elephant do what an elephant does best if you are a ballerina do what a ballerina does best. Elephants are shot for their big ivory tusks and feed off the corsets of vegetation that nothing else will eat. They do like their little nibbles though. They are also scared of mice. Some ballerinas are scared on mice as well. Elephants and ballerinas should use their potential for the best.

Quality is the physical and measurable nature of something. That something has curse and effect. The effect something has is just as much quality as its physical presences.

The interpretation of quality is that of the recipient or customer. Thing generally come with a price. The price is generally a negative quality it turns people off the product or service. This should be the profitable part of negative quality. The same product can have very different effects on different people. Some very clever people can take half an hour deciding on which bisects to buy in a supermarket. The decision to accept or reject an offer can vary on very many things. What attracts one person may repel another.

When people were paid weekly the market had a steady flow of weekly cash. Now that people are paid monthly the market has changed. In the later part of the month there is very little cash about. On the first of the month cash is abundant. And some people go mad.

Something repellent on the twenty-ninth of the month can be very attractive on the second or third of the month. It is all to do with how much cash is about and will you dare a prawn phal or not.

Exactly why people buy things is an unknown quantity. They are learning more about it the whole time.

It is simplistically product, price and position. The other is getting the right product in the right place at the right time and in the right quantity helps too.

Some stores stock in order to be sold out at a particular time. By four o’clock on a Saturday afternoon they will have planned to sell out. A product that hangs around on the shelf will be discontinued or cut back. It will be given less shelf space and put either higher up or lower down on the shelf. If your product has a unique selling point a store may not know where to put it. If your product is just like all the rest people will not be interested in it and go for the cheapest. This gives you very little margin.

Some big business is very cutthroat and does not like small business. Some like to throttle the baby in the cot while others will gradually bleed it to death.

Small business gets on better with small business.

Starting a business is a risk. A lot go bankrupt especially in recession. Going bankrupt has a domino effect as one goes under they take others with them. When a small business goes under its owners can loos everything. House, pension the lot.

It can be an exhausting and gruelling hiding to nothing.

Taking a risk or speculating and you have to be prepared for that. A small business can be a lot of fun and very rewarding. The bigger it gets the more professional you have to be.

There are dead end businesses just as there are dead end jobs.

You can look for the potential for growth. Franchising an idea out can be very successful a lot of businesses are franchises and it is a growing industry.

There is a franchise magazine that has a lot of the major franchises in it. You can start up your own or buy an established one if you have the cash.
